I am here to guide you in a dual process of safe and active exploration as we work on your personalized plan.

Only suggestions that correspond to your personalized script will be presented during hypnosis. It is essential to acknowledge that your subconscious mind is never fully dormant; rather, it serves as a protective mechanism that alerts you when any aspect feels uncomfortable. Your subconscious acts as a guardian, retaining protective elements from earlier life experiences that may no longer be pertinent to your current circumstances.

Consider your subconscious mind as the vehicle that you drive. You must assess whether you are in control of this vehicle, or if outdated protective factors—those that have previously been beneficial—are now at the helm.

It is important to reflect on the following questions: Am I living my best life? Am I in alignment with my values, desires, and authentic self? Am I continuously repeating detrimental patterns? Do I feel as though I am in a state of stagnation?

If your responses do not align with your highest aspirations, it may be necessary to examine your internal programming—your subconscious mind. This reflection can serve as a critical step toward meaningful transformation.

 

INNER CHILD

 

We all have that inner child, that little person deep inside that somehow influences us in the moment. While we want to embrace the playful side and delightful qualities of our inner child, we might also find that our little person's protective factors have, over time, contributed to blocks or unexplained responses or actions. With the utmost care, we can provide understanding via psychoeducation and reprogramming via Hypnotherapy and/or EMDR.                          EMDR                                                    

EMDR is a therapy that involves cathecting the R.E.M. pattern, typically experienced in one's normal sleep cycles.  The bi-lateral processing allows for stuck material to be released and reintegrated in a way that no longer contributes to distress. EMDR is considered an empirically supported treatment and can be very effective for trauma-related conditions such as PTSD. Results differ for everyone, which is reflective in our diversity as human beings. Some no longer see or recognize the issue, while others can still see or remember it; yet, in either case, the optimal outcome is a reduction. or eradication of emotional distress. EMDR is recognized as a complex form of intervention and involves longer-term engagement. The practitioner develops a road map that includes history and assessment, and while circumstances are different for everyone, it is typical for someone to benefit from attending 20 sessions

How many sessions for Hypnosis are typically needed?

The number of sessions varies depending on individual needs, but typically ranges from 3 to 10 sessions, depending on your objectives and what you would like to achieve. Remember, your session, or sessions, are tailored to your personal needs. 

Is hypnotherapy suitable for everyone?

Hypnotherapy is generally safe for most people, but some individuals may not be suitable candidates. It is equally critical to mention that Hypnotherapy is only as safe as the training, professional development, and integrity of the practitioner. Please do your homework.

We take this work seriously and will conduct a thorough assessment to ensure compatibility.

What should I expect during a hypnotherapy session?

During a hypnotherapy session, you can expect to be in a relaxed state as the practitioner guides you through positive suggestions and imagery tailored to your objectives, assisting you to achieve your goals. You are always in control, and if anything doesn't feel comfortable, you will know and can speak to it.

This model of Hypnotherapy is not a stage Hypnosis. Sandra is a safe and fully trained practitioner who is aligned with a professional body and governed by the 'The Medicines Act 1981' and the ASA.

How long does a session go for?

In Hypnotherapy, the work always starts with exploring and understanding your desired results, as this forms the basis of your personalised experience. If this is your first time, allow 1.5 hours, which will include gaining information from you. The following sessions may only require 1hour.

In EMDR, allow one hour per session. EMDR isn't a one-session model. EMDR is an investment and covers a range of factors.

How do I know what intervention is best for me

That's a great question! Besides Hypnotherapy and EMDR, various intervention options are available, all of which can be effective. The best choice depends on your individual needs, your current stage of personal development, and the style that resonates with you. Together, we can create a plan to optimize your outcomes.

What can I expect from EMDR intervention

EMDR isn't an intervention. EMDR is a therapeutic model that requires a considered approach and should only be implemented by a trained professional, particularly when processing trauma.  Because EMDR can be highly effective for trauma processing, it is crucial to gather historical information, including any health issues. We assess your D.E.S score, as well as review your ACE scores. Steps can include

  1. Background information
  2. Resourcing and stabilising as required
  3. Reviewing parts using IFS as required
  4. Processing memory as per EMDR Protocol

Do you offer online sessions

Yes, online meetings via Zoom are a valid option for those who have time and travel restrictions, or who will require Zoom due to geographical barriers.

One-on-one sessions are also available in the studio.

Some clients mix between attending via Zoom and in person. 

 

 

Is there a cancellation fee

Yes, in fact, this is now standard practice for most businesses. A 24-hour notice is required; otherwise, you will be invoiced 30% of the total. Payments are made online before your Zoom session.  When attending in person, payment can be made on the day prior to departure

Do you have Supervision - how are you governed

Absolutely - yes, yes, yes! Supervision must be undertaken. It keeps us in good form, and to be a member of a recognized governing body, it is compulsory. I am governed by NZAC and HNZ. Additionally, the guiding principles of The Medicines Act 1981 and the ASA.
