IS THIS TAKING US BACK TO THE BEGINING OF TIME

Hypnotherapy has significant potential within the health and wellness industry, offering numerous benefits to the public and addressing the mental health challenges we face.

Guided hypnotherapy, particularly when integrated with skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), can effectively assist individuals in overcoming phobias and treatment barriers that prevent them from living in alignment with their values. This approach can lead to improved health outcomes, which may result from chemically induced states of well-being. Techniques used in hypnotherapy can promote the release of feel-good chemicals such as oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine.

For example, reframing past experiences and accessing positive resources — which may have been long forgotten — can override negative thought patterns. Many people, especially children, tend to draw conclusions based on limited logic and reasoning, often disregarding their instincts. These conclusions contribute to beliefs that may require protective measures, intended to safeguard the developing child or young adult. While these strategies are clever mechanisms for protection, they may not serve an adult in the same way, leading to regressive behaviors, confusion, distress, and mental health issues when faced with societal pressures or norms.

Socialization is critical, as it fosters bonding and connection, and it is essential for navigating higher education, the workforce, and adult roles. However, if individuals face social barriers, phobias, anxiety, or depression, the transition into adulthood can become overwhelming. Negative beliefs, which become ingrained in their schema, can exacerbate these challenges. While extremely valid evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) can provide logic that assures individuals they are okay, subconscious responses often stem from deeper issues, such as traumatic experiences from childhood, a loss, an accident, school dynamics, wrong place-wrong place dynamics - little person [professor] conclusions.........

Imagine utilizing strength-based and future-oriented skills within a carefully designed hypnotherapy session to dissolve or reprogram unhelpful scripts, unlocking the potential for meaningful change. If blocks are established or co-created since birth (or even before), preventing an individual from fully exploring all perspectives, we can seek to access the origin of these blocks and schemas. This approach need not involve reopening old stories; rather, it can focus on recognizing positive resources or strengths that individuals possess.

People are capable of creating and, therefore, potentially uncreating their challenges. Traditional talking therapies or basic interventions like CBT have an essential and valid place, and equally, may not be sufficient because they often do not reach the sensory aspects of the psyche — the part that internalizes associated thoughts, feelings, and responses. At a cellular level, our memories and impulses are uniquely held, and so we need to move beyond our active minds into the subconscious, where we can plant suggestions aligned with our desired outcomes.

Additionally, phobias related to dental care, medical procedures, or childbirth can be alleviated through hypnotherapy tailored to meet the client's specific needs. Pain relief techniques, such as the Esdale state, have been established long before hypnotherapy was formally recognized in the 1840s.

I firmly believe that, when executed correctly, hypnotherapy is a reasonable and viable option for many individuals. While it may not suit everyone, and not all may be drawn to the concept, when facilitated by an experienced and trained professional practitioner, it offers a safe way to enhance well-being, promote personal growth, improve health outcomes, and rebuild a strong sense of self. Improved outcomes can lead to more positive and meaningful engagement in society, in personal relationships, and beyond, creating a ripple effect that enhances well-being for future generations.
